Install on Bolt

Use this guide for a web project in Bolt. The browser tracker is not a native mobile or Expo analytics SDK. Copy your token from Seean → Settings → Installation.

Add the script

Open Code view using the <> control and inspect your project. For React/Vite or Vue/Vite, put the following before </head> in the project-root index.html:

<script defer src="https://app.seean.io/k.js"
  data-site="YOUR_SITE_TOKEN"
  data-api="https://app.seean.io"></script>

Replace YOUR_SITE_TOKEN. Save the file and return to Preview to check that the app still works. Bolt Code view.

If your project uses a framework that owns the HTML document, use its real layout instead: Next.js, Astro or React Router. Do not create an unused index.html in a server-rendered project.

Prompt for Bolt

You can request the change through chat instead of editing manually:

Add Seean analytics once to this web project. Inspect the framework
and use its shared HTML document or root layout. Load the classic
external script https://app.seean.io/k.js with data-site set to
YOUR_SITE_TOKEN and data-api set to https://app.seean.io.
Use defer for a normal HTML tag, or afterInteractive for next/script.
Preserve existing consent handling. Check for an existing Seean tag
before adding one. Do not add another pageview on every route change.
Show the file changed and the steps to verify the published version.

Publish and verify

Review the diff, then use Bolt’s Publish flow and wait for publication to complete. Test the resulting live URL, including when publishing through a different connected host. Preview changes alone do not update an older publication. Bolt publishing.

Follow installation verification. Check a first page load, another pathname and Back/Forward in Events. If the page works but data is missing, check the published HTML, token, consent, exclusions and CSP. Hash-only routes are not distinct Seean pages.

Scope and removal

The tag collects pageviews and available Web Vitals. Signups and other outcomes need custom events or a server order integration. Remove the tag from its original file and publish again to stop collection. Token changes must be published too; past data is retained.
